Connect Instagram with the Instagram-only sign-in

Updated

The short answer

On the Instagram tile, sign in with Instagram itself. You don't need a Facebook Page. Cosmo can then post the reels and carousels you approve and manage comments. The sign-in renews itself as long as it hasn't fully expired.

Two ways to connect Instagram

  • Instagram Login (direct). Tap the Instagram tile and sign in on instagram.com. It works for Instagram professional (business or creator) accounts and asks to publish content and manage comments.
  • Through Facebook. If the Instagram app isn't set up on the server, the Instagram tile uses the Facebook Page sign-in instead and brings in the Instagram account linked to your Page. See Connect Meta.

If you connect both ways, Cosmo uses the direct Instagram connection.

Expiry

Instagram sign-ins last about 60 days and Cosmo renews them while they're still valid. If one fully expires (for example after a long break, or if you change your password), the tile shows "Needs reconnecting". Tap Reconnect.
