For WordPress, type your site address, approve Cosmo in WP Admin, and you're done: no plugin, nothing to copy. For Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Wix or GitHub, paste an API key or token. Framer has no publishing API, so Cosmo hands you the article to paste in.
| Account | What Cosmo does with it | Access |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | Publishes the articles you approve, with SEO titles, and refreshes old ones. | Reads, and posts only what you approve |
Go to Connections → Website.
WordPress, one click
- Type your site address.
- WordPress shows its own "Authorize application" screen. Approve Cosmo there.
- WordPress sends you back to Cosmo with an application password, and the site is connected.
This uses WordPress's built-in Application Passwords (WordPress 5.6 or later). The WordPress user who approves must be able to publish posts, so use an Editor or Administrator. If Application Passwords are turned off on your site (some security plugins do this), use the manual form: WP Admin → Users → Profile → Application Passwords, name it "Cosmo", and paste your username and the password under "Other site builders".
Cosmo also fills in SEO titles and descriptions for Yoast, Rank Math and AIOSEO, if your site lets the REST API write those fields.
Other site builders
| Builder | What you paste |
|---|---|
| Webflow | An API token (CMS read/write, Sites read), the site ID and the blog collection ID |
| Shopify | Your store domain, an Admin API access token from a custom app with content read/write, and optionally the blog ID |
| Ghost | The Admin API URL and an Admin API key from a custom integration |
| Wix | An API key with the Wix Blog permission set and the site ID |
| GitHub | A fine-grained token (Contents and Pull requests read/write), the repository, branch and posts folder. Each article opens a pull request you merge |
| Framer | Just your site URL. Cosmo gives you the article to paste |
Tap Verify & connect. Cosmo checks the details before saving them.
Once a site is connected you can also turn on IndexNow, which tells Bing and other engines about new articles as soon as they go live.
